  Thallus yellowish grey. Ascomata 0.4–0.6 mm diam., 0.4–0.9 mm tall. Ascomatal wall to 200 μm thick; ostiole whitish, 250–400 μm diam. Ascospores bicolorous, fusiform, with subacute ends, (10–) 13–16 × 5–6 μm, with 3 very dark distosepta 1–2 μm thick.
CHEMISTRY: Thallus UV + yellow or UV–; lichexanthone detected with TLC in most specimens.
     
  This pantropical to warm-temperate species occurs in forest in eastern Qld and N.S.W.
